The Providence Northern moved from Providence to Warwick in 2006.  Just months after the move, a local teenager started a fire in the building on a dare.  This gallery shows you what the building looked like before the move, the fire damage, and the beginning of the benchwork in space we have today.  A new roof was installed and completed one day before the fire.  It had to be rebuilt again after the fire.  Two sections of the original northern branch line in Providence were preserved and installed on the new benchwork.   The rest of the layout you see today was built from scratch in the Warwick location.  If you look closely at the benchwork pictures, you can see blue tape on the floor.  The tape designated the location of the mainline and benchwork, and helped the builders position everything.   You can still spot the tape under our layout today.
