Electronic Security

UPDATE - Notice to all members:

The physical access to the club has been changed from physical keys to electronic key card.

The system has been installed, tested, and key cards issued to over two-thirds of the membership. Outside access is now made via the small black card reader to the left of the doors - hold your key card or token near it, and when the LED turns green, pull on the left door (as viewed from outside the building).

Members who are entitled to unsupervised access to the club (Regular members, Emeritus members, and Associate members) and who are not delinquent in their membership obligations can receive their electronic key cards from the club secretary after the regular monthly business meeting. There may also be additional times when the secretary is available to issue key cards (during the Saturday open house hours, operating sessions, etc). Members can also contact the club secretary and arrange an alternative time to meet.

Visiting the Providence Northern

The Providence Northern is open to the public 12PM to 4PM on most Saturdays of the month - we are closed to the public on the last Saturday of the month, and at other times for special events.

Our mission to is educate and inform people about the hobby of Model Railroading, and our Warwick exhibit is the centerpiece of our work.  Our layout main line and staging area trackwork are completed, and trains are operating.  The industrial areas are being developed, our switching yards are fully functional, and we continue to make progress in applying scenery detail work. Come by and watch our railroad in miniature being built!

Group visits may be arranged by appointment.  Inquire via the About Us page.
